Expertise without an undefined handover

A vCISO engagement supports security strategy, governance, risk decisions and management reporting. Security engineering support focuses on agreed technical work such as control implementation, configuration reviews and remediation planning. Your organization retains ownership of business decisions and risk acceptance.

Our Process Step by Step:

1

Set up the engagement

Set up the engagement

Agree the objectives, specialist roles, available capacity, meeting cadence, access permissions and communication channels. Define dependencies and who approves changes.

2

Work from a shared backlog

Work from a shared backlog

Prioritize tasks with your team and schedule delivery. Record decisions, blockers and progress so internal owners can follow the work.

3

Review outcomes

Review outcomes

Review deliverables and priorities regularly. Maintain documentation and handover notes so knowledge stays available to your organization.

Expected deliverables

Depending on scope, outputs can include a security roadmap, risk register updates, management reports, control designs, reviewed configurations, remediation plans and operational documentation. We agree acceptance criteria and responsible owners for each workstream.

Where it helps

Add specialist capacity during growth, a compliance project or a technical change. Scheduled support is not automatically a managed SOC, round-the-clock monitoring or an incident response service. Response times, availability and emergency support require a separate explicit agreement.
